This Privacy Policy explains how Jobilyst ("we," "us," or "our"), operated by Jobilyst, collects, uses, and shares information when you use our site (the "Site").

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

• Account information — name, email address, password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text).
• Candidate profile information — headline, bio, phone number, location, resume file, work experience, education, certifications, and skills, if you choose to add them.
• Job application information — name, email, phone, resume, and cover letter submitted when applying to a listing through the Site.
• Employer/job posting information — company details and job listing content, if you post a job.

Information collected automatically:

• Usage data — pages visited, links clicked, search filters used, device and browser type, and approximate location derived from IP address.
• Cookies and similar technologies, described in Section 3 below.

2. How We Use Information

• To operate the Site — create and manage your account, display job listings, and process applications.
• To share your application with the relevant Employer when you apply to a job posted directly on the Site.
• To communicate with you — account notices, application confirmations, and (if you opt in) job alerts.
• To understand how the Site is used, so we can improve it, using the analytics services described below.
• To detect and prevent fraud, spam, and abuse.

3. Cookies and Third-Party Tracking Services

We use cookies and similar technologies, including through the following third-party services, to understand how visitors use the Site and to improve it:

• Google Tag Manager (GTM) — used to manage the tags and tracking scripts below without modifying the Site's code directly. GTM itself does not collect personal data beyond what the tags it manages collect.
• Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — collects usage data (pages viewed, time on site, device/browser information, approximate location) to help us understand traffic and site performance. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Microsoft Clarity — records aggregated usage patterns such as scroll depth, clicks, and session recordings to help us understand user experience and fix usability issues. See Microsoft's Privacy Statement.

These services may set their own cookies and process data according to their own privacy policies, linked above. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect some functionality of the Site.

4. Job Listings Sourced from Third Parties

As explained in our Terms & Conditions, some job listings on this Site are not posted directly by the employer, but are sourced from other publicly available job boards and company career pages. If you click through to apply on one of these listings, you may be taken to the original source's website, which has its own privacy practices that we do not control. We recommend reviewing that site's privacy policy before submitting any information there.

5. How We Share Information

• With Employers — when you apply to a job posted directly on the Site, your application information is shared with that Employer.
• With service providers — hosting, database, email delivery, and analytics providers (including those listed in Section 3) who process data on our behalf.
• For legal reasons — if required to comply with a legal obligation, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Jobilyst or others.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Data Retention

We retain account and profile information for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 7). Job applications submitted to Employers are retained as a record of the application unless you request removal.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at inquiry@jobilyst.com. You can also delete your own account and data directly from your account settings page.

8. Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to individuals under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above when changes are made, and material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
